2018-19 NCT Members save 10% on 2019 Summer Camps.

"It's a great program. It's great for kids on many different levels. I'd recommend for all ages. For kids who love theatre, NCT teaches them great skills they'll need to know. For kids who don't really 'love' theatre, it teaches them to be fun and creative and use their imagination."

Inspired by role-playing games with a 20-sided die, this class challenges students to take the principles of levels, power, and characteristics and apply them to choices in acting. Using their strengths to their favor, campers try to outwit and out-roll the various monsters, temptations, and traps that stand in their way. But all of this is decided by a roll of the dice, and if the roll does not go in their favor, consequences will come to pass, and alternate choices will need to be made to fulfill their goals.

Emerging Artists Production - Songs for a New World

This intensive, professionally run production has all the trimmings. It is professionally designed (sets, costumes, lights), and is produced on our professional main stage at NCT. The show will be directed by our Education Director, Alicia Fuss and music directed by Shawn Knight. The process is run like a professional production and is perfect for the student looking to grow and hone their Triple Threat status.

This contemporary song cycle weaves characters and history together, illuminating the timelessness of self-discovery. It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back.

The first musical from Tony Award winner, Jason Robert Brown, this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make. With a score that runs the gamut of today's popular music, Songs for a New World will challenge Emerging Artists as they explore musical storytelling in a completely fresh way.
